This blog is a confession of sorts, I’ve never been accused of being too subtle.  I was raised the son of a pastor (thus the name of the blog, that’s what PK means, Pastor’s Kid) and am doing my best to make sure my kids don’t need counseling while growing up with a dad who is a pastor.

I’m a father, a son, a brother, a husband, a pastor, a church planter, a friend, a movie enthusiast, and a musician.  Just seeking to be an authentic and genuine follower of Christ.  Many followers of Christ either avoid or condemn the culture. I enjoy engaging the culture however I can, especially through the mediums of music and film. I like to ask a lot of questions in seeking to find answers. I like to engage in meaningful discussions, even if they’re only digital. I also like to think that in those discussions, even if we disagree, we can still be charitable and loving as we both try to express our viewpoints and try to understand the viewpoints of others.

I appreciate exploring the deeper things of God as I believe that, as Pascal offered, we all have a God-shaped hole in our lives which only God can fill.  I have seen both the positives and negatives of organized religion but refuse to throw the baby out with the bathwater.  I believe that followers of Jesus Christ are called to be salt and light in the world, to demonstrate the love of Christ to others unconditionally, and to seek to fulfill the Great Commission as they live their lives in obedience to all that Christ commanded us.  I believe that there is a way to engage people who disagree without resorting to name-calling and mud-slinging.  I am who I am today because of what Christ has done in my life.

Thanks for checking the blog out.  If you like it, would love you to follow.

Grace and peace!
